Dear Reader,
        The holidays are approaching quickly. I'm so looking forward to them. Somehow this season always makes life busier for me and I try to enjoy every minute of it.
        At the end of November you'll find my Special Edition THE SUPER MOM on bookstore shelves. Angela is a divorced mom with three kids who thinks she can do it all! But with three children--her oldest is acting out because his dad doesn't keep to his visiting schedule--and two jobs, she's at the end of her rope. Add a handsome hunk over the holidays who becomes her son's Big Brother and readers have a formula to see sparks fly and love ignite.
        For Valentine's Day, I've penned another Logan's Legacy story. Remember Lisa from A PRECIOUS GIFT? She is now all grown up and a heroine--even with her tattoos! Those tattoos play a symbolic part in her story. FALLING FOR A TEXAS TYCOON will be on bookshelves at the end of January.
        Have you ever heard authors say they are writing the book of their heart? For most authors, this is usually their first book. For me, it's my fiftieth for Harlequin/Silhouette.
        In every book I pen, I give readers a piece of who I am even though while writing, I don't always realize it. The book I'm writing now, tentatively titled THE BRACELET, has so much more than a piece. It will be part of Harlequin/Silhouette's new Everlasting line which debuts in February. These are books about couples whose relationships span years.
        I will tell you more in the months to come--I don't have a pub date yet. But my hero and heroine fall in love during turbulent times--1969--in my hometown of York, Pennsylvania. Brady fights in Vietnam and when he returns, he is a changed man. In the present day his experience there still affects his relationship with his wife and their two adopted children. A crisis both tears the family apart and brings it back together. Love with truth can truly conquer all.
        I'm so excited about this book and so in love with these characters that I don't want the book to end! I'll be finishing it in the next couple of months and will be able to give you more news about it in the new year.

After six years of writing and thirteen completed manuscripts, Karen sold two books in one week! She has published with Silhouette Romance and Special Edition, as well as with Meteor/Kismet and Kensington's Precious Gems. A past president of the Central PA Romance Writers, she has given workshops on conflict, character, love scenes and synopsis writing to neighboring chapters and at national conferences. A graduate of Shippensburg University in PA with a BS in English and French secondary education, she earned graduate credits in both English and Counseling. Formerly an English teacher and home decorator, she began writing romances when back surgery interrupted her lifestyle. Karen lives in Pennsylvania with her husband of over thrity years. Their son is a research scientist working in Oklahoma.
